A myth by the azerbaijani historiography: “genocide in Khojaly”

ANNA BABAYAN

Key words: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Artsakh, “Khojaly events”

The article (the article is in armenian) discusses the falsification of the events that took place in the vicinities of the Azerbaijani-populated Artsakh (Karabakhi) village of Khojaly in February, 1992. Pointing out the social-mobilizational objectives of such a state policy by Azerbaijan, the author grounds her work on Azerbaijani and Armenian sources which shed light on those events. Previously untaped and unpublished memoirs of witnesses have been used in the current article.
